ABSTRACT
Only a few studies have examined the extent of health inequalities in Greece. This means that there has been no overall assessment of this phenomenon, which explains the lack of state interest in reducing such inequalities. However, as is discussed in this chapter, strong social policies are exercised in Greece, many of which contribute to the reduction of health inequalities.
