ABSTRACT
IC was 71 years old when she experienced a leftsided CVA. She initially suffered mild weakness of the right arm and leg, but this resolved within 24 hours. She was not admitted to hospital, but was referred to a day hospital for assessment. Physiotherapy and occupational therapy were not required. IC’s communication, however, remained severely limited.
