ABSTRACT
The Changeling: A Poem in Two Cantos, Addressed to a Laureat was published anonymously in London in 1817. The first canto is reprinted here. These inept verses are interesting as an example of the virulent attacks launched against Southey. Quotations from Wat Tyler are inserted at intervals throughout the poem.
