A Father's Memoirs of his Child 1806

Benjamin Heath Malkin wrote the earliest essay on Blake and incorporated it in the introductory letter (addressed to Thomas Johnes) in his A Father’s Memoirs of his Child (1806), pp. xvii–xli. He associated Blake with his prodigious son, who died at the age of six, and this of course affected the reactions to Blake of his readers and critics.
