ABSTRACT

This final chapter pinpoints key areas in which changes must be made in order to facilitate a reconstruction of post-16 education. There are a number of major structural issues, including funding, which I shall note briefly in the first instance. Next, I shall turn to a number of ideological and cultural problems which will need to be addressed if change is to be achieved. I shall also discuss the principal aims, values and organising principles of a curriculum for the future, highlighting as appropriate key summary points.
