ABSTRACT
Athyridide diversity dynamics through the Palaeozoic and early Mesozoic are presented based on the most recent data available. Endemic and cosmopolitan rates were established, and general diversity, extinction, origination and turnover patterns were studied to assess general tendencies in athyridide evolution at generic and subfamilial levels.
