ABSTRACT

Physical activity has the broader meaning of

the two and encapsulates all significant bodily

movement engaged in through the daily

routine such as housework, walking and

cycling as a form of transport, shopping and

active hobbies. Exercise is confined to those

physical activities (which might include some

from this list) that are undertaken with the

intention of improving aspects of health,

fitness or weight management. Exercise is the

main focus of almost all of the summarized

research discussed in this chapter.
