ABSTRACT

Brain metastasis Brain metastases from sarcoma are very rare, and very few data exist as to management, other than limited surgical resection. In very selected patients, surgical resection can be considered if other effective therapy is lacking. Survival is poor, and such resection, we believe, should be reserved for symptomatic relief. Virtually all patients have associated metastases in other sites. The addition of radiation therapy to resection does not appear to prolong survival significantly, although rare patients have survived to 5 years.
