ABSTRACT

Citrus oils are covered by regulations for flavourings, fragrances and dangerous substances. A survey of legislation has to cover the main industrialized areas, Europe and USA, as well as the regional and international harmonization of legislation by the European Union, the FAO/WHO Foods Standard Programme, the Codex Alimentarius as well as IFRA (International Fragrance Association) and IOFI (International Organization of the Flavour Industry).
