ABSTRACT
The first chapter in this section explored the subjects of gender, sex and sexual identity primarily from ‘above’. It looked at the views of ‘specialists’, particularly those in the field of education, and at recent journalistic writings on apparent changes in sexual practice in the post-Soviet era. The aim of this chapter is to approach the subject from the opposite direction and consider the opinions of young people themselves.
