ABSTRACT
The International Headache Society (IHS) promulgated operational criteria for the diagnosis of headaches in 19881. The classification identifies 12 major categories of headache, which can be divided into two broad groups, the primary and secondary headache disorders. Migraine is the most important form of primary headache.
