Practical media production: Rob Mcinnes
Pages 21

This chapter explores some approaches to practical work in Media Studies. While not offering an exhaustive account of the debates and rationale that underpin the status of practical work, it nonetheless acknowledges from the outset that practical work has experienced a troubled history and that different attitudes and approaches towards it, together with a very wide range of teaching contexts can result in radically different experiences for students, which in turn produce different notions of what media education is.
