Tests of two different hydraulic transmissions show agreement within .±3% between thermodynamic measurements and hydraulic measurements of the efficiency within the ranges 0.5.;Snlnmax.::::t.O and 0.5.;SAp/ apmax.::::t.o when temperature difference T0n-Tenv.=O.
