ABSTRACT

Although no significant oestrogenic activity was detectable in P. lobata or P. phaseoloides (Jones and Pope, 1961), this early study should perhaps be extended to include the roots (tuberous and fibrous) of other Pueraria species, some of which might possibly have medicinal properties comparable with those of kwao keur. Pueraria candollei, a species almost identical with P. mirifica, would be an obvious first choice for investigation.
