ABSTRACT

This book has been concerned with looking at the way that organisations can foster a culture in which individual employees respect each other and in which the position of the organisation is both respected and respectful. Unfortunately this ideal is not always achieved and where relationships break down it is essential that the organisation has mechanisms to deal with the perpetrator and the recipient of bullying. Owing to the complexity of human relationships organisations are frequently faced with circumstances in which there is clear evidence of interpersonal conflict, and it is difficult to be certain who is the bully and who is the bullied.
