ABSTRACT

Incidence Carcinoma of the prostate is currently the most common cancer affecting males in the Western world, accounting in North America for nearly 21% of all newly diagnosed cancers. The median age at diagnosis is 70 years with the incidence rising each decade after age 50. In the US, there are approximately 134,000 newly diagnosed cases each year. The incidence of the disease is 75.3/100,000.
