ABSTRACT
Salvia species of commerce include Salvia officinalis L., S. fruticosa Miller (Syn. S. triloba L. fil.), S. lavandulaefolia Vahl., S. verbenaca L. and S. sclarea L. S. tomen tosa Miller is another species with development potential. While Salvia officinalis is cultivated worldwide, and S. sclarea in Europe and North America, S. fruticosa oil is produced from wild plants.
