Psychology in South Africa
Graham B. Stead began his career as a high school teacher-counselor and obtained his Ph.D. in psychology in 1989. He is a full professor and a registered psychologist currently teaching research methods, statistics, and career psychology at the University of Port Elizabeth (Vista Campus). He has presented over 50 papers at international and national conferences, and he is the author of 50 articles and book chapters that have been published in South Africa, the United States, Europe, and Australia. Graham Stead has coedited Career Psychology in the South African Context and coauthored Planning, Designing, and Reporting Research. Dr. Stead is also the South African liaison for Division 52 (International Psychology) of the American Psychological Association.
