Psychology in Brazil: The Road Behind and the Road Ahead
Claudio S. Hutz received his B.A. in psychology from the University of Haifa in Israel and his M.A. and Ph.D. in the United States from the University of Iowa. He is a professor at the Institute of Psychology of Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. He has served on the board of several scientific societies, and is a past president of the Brazilian National Association of Research and Graduate Studies in Psychology. Claudio Hutz also served on the Brazilian National Council of Sciences under the auspices of the Ministry of Education. His research interests include the social development of children and adolescents at risk, and the development of methods and techniques for the psychological assessment of such groups.
