Psychology in Iran
Behrooz Birashk completed his M.A. and Ph.D. in counseling psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He joined the Ministry of Health and Medical Education in 1980. In 1985, he joined the Iran Medical University School of Medicine and the Tehran Psychiatric Institute as a faculty member. He is an associate professor of psychology and dean of the Department of Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Sciences. His research interests include mental illness, psychotherapy in tervent ions , personal i ty -re la ted disorders, counseling, AIDS, and addictions.
