Psychology in Kenya
June W. Koinange has a B.A. in psychology and an M.A. in counseling psychology from the United States International University-Africa in Nairobi, Kenya. She has established her own practice, Lifespring Counseling and Training Center (LCTC), where the main focus is on psychological interventions in stress and trauma management and marriage and family counseling, as well as youth-related issues and challenges. LCTC has been contracted to provide workplace and outreach psychosocial care and support services for specific U.N. staff undergoing cumulative and traumatic stress. Koinange has also worked as a stress counselor for staff members of UNICEF/Operation Lifeline in the Sudan. She is a founding member and chairperson of the Kenya Psychological Association.
