ABSTRACT

The following section of the chapter presents a broad picture of the current situation in Poland with respect to the integration of the country’s economy into European industrial networks. The section on Factors underlying Poland’s emerging position in international networks examines the chief actors in the integration process (foreign and domestic firms and national and local governments), assessing the role they have played in that process over the last decade. The final section summarizes and discusses some hypotheses that we think worth investigating in further research.
