Influencing Others

ByKathryn Waddington

This chapter draws upon theoretical perspectives and research from social and organisational psychology, public sector management and nursing, inter - woven and applied to the emerging interdisciplinary field of interprofessional collaborative practice (Suter and Deutschlander, 2010; Waddington, 2010a). In order to fully engage with the material and activities to enhance learning available in this chapter it is recommended that you use approaches to critical reflection which address the issues and dynamics of power and powerless - ness (Bishop, 2009; Brookfield, 2009; Fook and Gardner, 2007). These are developed in more depth later in this chapter.
