ABSTRACT
In this chapter I develop a conceptual analysis pertaining to the project of Earth Democracy. This project is a continuation of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Governance for Sustainability Project and was officially launched in 2009 at a symposium at the European Institute in Florence, Italy (Engel et al., 2010). A subsequent conference was co-organized in 2011 by the Global Ecological Integrity Group (GEIG) at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic (Westra et al., 2011).
