ABSTRACT

China has experienced rapid economic development over the past several decades. Globalization and technological advancement, coupled with the shortage of a skilled workforce have been challenging for business organizations and for China as a nation. The Chinese government proposed many strategies to develop human resources to face these challenges such as hosting national conferences on talent development, establishing the Ministries of Human Resources and Social Security, and publishing policies to aid the development of human resources. China has also taken steps to recognize HRD as a discipline.
