The authors’ preferred option links the compensation to the costs of resettling the refugees in the Palestinian state comprising WBGS and securing the economic viability of the state. The implication is that for the most part the compensation will not paid to individuals and the bulk of it would be spent on public and community projects, budget support and also on housing. Israel provides a rich case for the study of problems in absorbing migrants and policy options.
