ABSTRACT
Geography rarely appears in books on religion, and religion rarely appears in books on geography. So why include this chapter? The main reason is that some of the many interesting questions about how religions develop, spread and impact on people’s lives are rooted in geographical factors (what happens where), and they can be studied from a geographical perspective.
