chapter  26
Physiological and Anthropometric Characteristics of Female Gaelic Football Players
Pages 4

Gaelic football is the national sport of the island of Ireland and is played by both males and females. Whilst data on male Gaelic football players now provide baseline comparisons for fitness assessments (Reilly and Doran, 2001), there are no corresponding data for female players. This lack of information exists despite the popularity of the woman’s game, which typically attracts 23,000 spectators to the inter-county final.
