The case reporter was invited by a new professor to conduct a one and a half-day workshop on assessment for the staff in the veterinary science faculty in a university in Europe. The professor organized his somewhat reluctant new faculty into the workshop on assessment as part of a larger programme of curriculum reform. The case reporter had previously worked with the professor in Australia.
