This case takes place at Sheffield Hallam University. A successful bid to HEFCE’s Fund for the Development of Teaching and Learning (FDTL) supported the creation of an inter-professional curriculum and more collaborative working in the recently merged School of Environment and Development-including Planning, Architecture, Housing, Building and Surveying. The project, ‘Better Together’, aimed to stimulate the development of an inter-professional curriculum in the built environment. It had a national focus which enabled the school to benefit from expertise and experiences elsewhere. As well as Sheffield Hallam University, the project involved Oxford Brookes and Kingston universities.
