ABSTRACT

Teaching, learning and the process of education are complex activities. Qualifying to Teach (DfES/TTA, 2002, replacing DfEE Circular 4/98) outlines the essential standards that all entrants to the teaching profession must demonstrate, and it is essential to familiarise yourself with this document so you are fully aware of just how demanding a task it is becoming a teacher.
