ABSTRACT
This chapter: • briefly outlines the existing literature o n genre theory, miscue analysis (the
analysis of children's oral reading errors) • briefly outlines the literature on bilingualism and dyslexia and • links the major theoretical ideas with practical suggestions for the teaching of
children who have English as an additional language (including those with dyslexia) .
