The planning of a programme of work is fundamental to modern foreign languages (mfl) teaching. This chapter aims to establish principles of macro-level planning affecting both teacher and learner at GCE Advanced (A)/Advanced Subsidiary (AS) level. It draws upon existing practice, whilst at the same time proposing new ways of working that reflect recent research.
