ABSTRACT
I had the pleasure of meeting John Kenneth Galbraith on a number of occasions, all of which belonged to a single event-the Symposium on Adam Smith which was organised by Kirkcaldy Town Council in 1973. The transactions were published by the Council in the following year, in the form of a complete transcript, which makes the volume something of an historical curiosity.
