ABSTRACT
Curriculum The science curriculum is a vehicle for considerable cross-curricular work especially in literacy, numeracy and ICT (see Chapter 3). We focus here, however, on two other aspects of cross-curricular work, citizenship and health education. Both these areas use concepts such as rights, responsibilities, values and beliefs, drawn from disciplines other than mainstream science, and address issues of considerable personal and social sensitivity.
