ABSTRACT
The paradox is due to Bertrand Russell, who draws an analogy with Achilles and the Tortoise: for each of the uncountably many positions occupied by the tortoise there is just one occupied by Achilles, and vice versa. If this were not so, Achilles could never catch up, since he would never reach a position (alongside one) simultaneously occupied by the tortoise.
