chapter  4
IMPACT in the Classroom and the Home
Pages 48

The National Curriculum has meant some changes in how teachers set about planning their work and organizing their classrooms. Most of us are now starting to come to terms with what the new ways of working are going to involve and how we can best make them fit our own individual styles of teaching. Most of us will be approaching at least a part of the curriculum in an integrated way. It does not appear to be possible to cover the 227 statements of attainment at level 2 (in the Core subjects alone!) without teaching in a cross-curricula fashion. We shall involve the children in group work at least for part of their time, and we shall, of course be planning and recording as the ERA requires.
