Talk show hosts are usually in a studio, either seated in a living-roomtype set or standing in the audience. They can be Oprah on a couch, a serious news host at a desk, or an afternoon syndicated show host who urges on some outrageous interview, often with audience participation. They can be late-night comics or Sunday morning preachers. And on cable, the music outlets like MTV and VH1 produce programs that require hosts for awards programs, pageants, and major music productions.
