ABSTRACT
As has been discussed earlier (Chapter 9) much of the research on dementia up until the late 1990s had focused on the impact and associated stress of caring for a relative with dementia. There has been limited research aimed at understanding the perceptions, views and experiences of those people with a diagnosis of dementia.
