ABSTRACT

Tools are as old as the human race itself. The hands and feet could be considered tools given to the human by nature. However, tools as we know them were developed as extensions of the hands and feet to amplify the range, strength, and effectiveness of these limbs. Thus, the early human, by picking up a stone, could make the fist heavier and harder, producing a more effective blow. Similarly, by using a stick, a longer and stronger arm was created.
