ABSTRACT
To commence this discussion of openness, I will first share a little about myself. I have been active in fashion and sustainability for the past decade, working as a designer–maker through my UK-based knitwear label, Keep & Share. Like Lizzie Harrison in the previous chapter, I have sought to put my sustainable design ideas into practice in order to demonstrate alternative possibilities and identify hidden issues and opportunities. In recent years, I have distanced myself from industrial initiatives, making a conscious decision to support grassroots amateur activity that could contribute towards a sustainable fashion system.
