ABSTRACT
Postmodernity is the condition we are in now, a condition under which there is no operative consensus concerning the ultimate or transcendental grounds of truth and justice. This is why Lyotard (1984) identifies the postmodern condition with a crisis of narratives, or more specifically, of meta-narratives, stories which ground truth and justice in some kind of metaphysical presence such as Reason, Nature or God.
