ABSTRACT
Indonesia is one of the most diverse states in the world and became independent in 1945. It is the fourth most populous state and inhabited by more than fifty ethnic groups who speak more than 450 languages. There is no clearly dominating group; however, it has the world’s largest Muslim population.
