ABSTRACT

Is there any life out there? The question of whether life exists beyond Earth has fascinated mankind for many decades. Indeed, with its mysterious aura, space has engaged the imagination of innumerable generations, inspiring both fear and wonder. The latent curiosity of man for extraterrestrial life and the interest in space explorations has never dimmed; from the first moon landing in 1969 to the supersonic space jump in 2012, millions of people have held their breath in front of the radio, television or now computer screen. A new mission to Mars is under way and we continue to scour the skies for habitable biospheres. Clearly this fascination can be used to inspire budding scientists.
