ABSTRACT
This chapter helps the tourism students to narrow down their research topic for their study. It provides a preliminary literature review relevant to tourism students research. Research proposal is a piece of work which is used to evaluate the feasibility of the study. It includes key elements in the research process and is presented in a structured form as to how tourism students research will be conducted. A research proposal addresses the following questions: Why tourism students want to research a particular topic or phenomenon? What do tourism students know on the subject? What tourism students plan to accomplish? How tourism students are going to conduct it? Research activities are very demanding and proper planning will ensure timely submission, although in many cases they can take longer than anticipated. Proper time management will avoid the need for requesting an extension, which is stressful in itself to obtain.
