ABSTRACT
Innovative reproductive technology has sparked hope, intrigue, drama, and controversy. The previous chapters discussed Christology, theology, and the ethical theories most influential in guiding personal decisions about difficult pregnancies in this age of biotechnology. The personal decisions made by expectant parents also affect fellow members of their communities because medical assistance is expensive, and circumstances may require special services and education. Legal entitlements and obligations change according to the legal jurisdiction.
