ABSTRACT

There is a strong case for controlled and limited immigration to Europe, which is directly linked to the need to fill jobs in designated essential fields, with a clear preference for immigrants from cultures likely to promote economic success and assimilate into existing national cultures. Arguments for mass immigration without such criteria fail every possible test, including those of ethics and common sense. This would be true even if Islamist terrorism were not present to further alarm indigenous populations and to increase suspicion of Muslim minorities.
