ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to examine the trends occurring in the patterns of industrial relations in six countries in Western Europe, North America, and Japan. The study was focused in particular upon developments in the processes of collective bargaining and other forms of employee- and union-participation against a background of ideological change and a considerable increase in the role of governments.
