ABSTRACT
What have been the principal tendencies in the evolution of industrial relations in France in the last ten years? Even if there is agreement over the facts, putting them into perspective requires examination. What are the future tendencies? Here, intuition, with all its vulnerability to the preferences and self-interests of the author, plays the leading role. Finally, presenting these tendencies in a very restricted space prohibits the accumulation of data and reinforces the impression of arbitrary interpretation. The following exposé should therefore be read as an essay, with the corresponding uncertainties. It goes without saying that other perspectives are possible.
