ABSTRACT

The aim of this paper is to analyze post-war changes in industrial relations in Sweden with a focus on the roles of trade unions, management and government in the fields of collective bargaining and employee participation. We shall try to determine which pressures for or against change in the systems of collective bargaining and participation have come from the three groups of actors. Recent developments from the beginning of the 1970s to summer 1977 will be emphasized. An attempt will also be made to assess some probable future trends.
